8BitDo Launches New Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller
8BitDo, known for its nostalgia-driven products, has expanded its range to include the new Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller. This controller is the company’s first entry into the popular “mobile grip” category and promises to deliver a comfortable and feature-rich gaming experience at an affordable price.
The Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller follows a familiar design seen in products like the Razer Kishi and Backbone, splitting a standard Bluetooth controller and adding a sliding phone grip in the middle. However, what sets this controller apart is its resemblance to 8BitDo’s highly acclaimed console and PC controllers, ensuring a larger and more ergonomic design for extended gaming sessions.

One standout feature of the Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller is its use of Hall effect sensors for both triggers and analog sticks. This technology ensures long-lasting durability and eliminates issues such as stick drift, a common problem faced by gamers. Additionally, the metal rings around the sticks add an extra layer of durability to the controller.
8BitDo’s controller offers several upgrades over its competitors in the budget-friendly category. Users can customize button layouts, including two rear buttons, using the 8BitDo PC app. The sensitivity of the sticks and triggers can also be adjusted to suit individual preferences. The device-agnostic slider allows for compatibility with a wide range of smartphones, accommodating devices up to 170mm wide/tall.

Priced at just $50, the 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller offers a feature-rich gaming experience at an affordable price point. Compared to its competitors like the GameSir X2s, Razer Kishi V2, Backbone One, or SCUF Nomad, this controller provides excellent value for money. Pre-orders are now available, with shipping beginning on November 29th.
