Abdul Aziz Issah, the young football sensation currently on loan at Barça Atlètic, the youth team of FC Barcelona, has been honored with the prestigious title of Male Footballer of the Year at the 49th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards.

This distinguished accolade, announced on Friday evening, acknowledges Issah’s exceptional performances throughout the past year, showcasing his immense talent both at home and on the international stage. Standing out against tough competition from Emmanuel Keyekeh and Stephen Amankona, Issah secured the highly sought-after award. His remarkable displays for Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup captured the attention of many.

Issah’s shining moments during the CAF Confederation Cup established him as one of the most promising young talents of the tournament. With four goals and two assists to his name, he played a pivotal role in guiding Dreams FC to an impressive semifinal finish.

Beyond his club achievements, Issah played a crucial role in the success of the Black Satellites at the African Games in Accra, where the team clinched a gold medal. This triumph further solidified his reputation as a rising star in Ghanaian football.

The next chapter of Issah’s career saw him embarking on a European adventure, as his outstanding performances attracted interest from various clubs across the continent. This led to a loan agreement with Barça Atlètic, as announced by Dreams FC:

“Agreement reached between FC Barcelona and Ghanaian side Dreams FC for the loan of the player Abdul Aziz Issah, who is to join Barça Atlètic for one season until June 30, 2025. The agreement includes an option to buy at the end of the season.”

Fans and supporters eagerly anticipate witnessing Issah’s development and growth as he continues to make his mark on the footballing world.
