26-Year-Old Snowboarder Reported Missing at Vail Mountain
A 26-year-old male snowboarder has been missing since Friday afternoon from Vail Mountain. The Vail Communication Center was alerted to the man’s disappearance at 4:30 p.m. on February 14, according to a Facebook post from Eagle County Sheriff’s Office. The man was reported missing when he was overdue.
Search and rescue teams from Vail Mountain Rescue and Vail Ski Patrol immediately sprang into action, scouring the man’s last known location and frequented routes in an effort to locate him. The missing snowboarder was last seen wearing an orange ski suit with blue accents on the top and a gray helmet, riding a Salomon snowboard.
The search is ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to contact Vail Dispatch at 970-479-2201.
