Though the messy divorce between rapper Jeezy and former “The Real” cohost Jeannie Mai may have been finalized back in June—it appears that things are still not amicable between the two.
Their latest kerfuffle, according to recently obtained legal documents, has to do with allegedly unfulfilled settlement requirements on behalf of Jeezy. Per TMZ, the “Put On” rapper was allegedly responsible for: covering daycare costs and school tuition for their two-year-old daughter Monaco, depositing at least $500,000 in an interest-bearing account for ex-wife, transferring the title for two cars over in Mai’s name, and covering four months of her rent.
To be specific, Jeezy allegedly monetarily owes her $4,000 in daycare costs/school tuition and $92,417.39 in rent reimbursement payments for the months of May through August 2024. He’s also supposed to relinquish ownership of a 2021 Range Rover and a 2022 Ford Bronco over to Mai and give her access to the $500,000 account.
However, in new documentation filed by Mai’s team, it looks like Jeezy has yet to do any of it. And his team has allegedly stopped responding to communications from her. She’s now seeking to hold him in contempt of court if he doesn’t make good on what he owes.
As previously reported by The Root, the couple has been entangled in drama for nearly a year following the surprise announcement of their split back in September 2023. Just when you thought this saga was over, it looks like new life may have just been breathed into it once again.
