The U.S. Open Grand Slam event always attracts a huge celebrity presence, and there’s a special magic at at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center’s Arthur Ashe Stadium that can only exist in New York City. Since the other three major tournaments take place in Australia, France and England, it’s a chance for east coast based celebs to see the sport’s biggest stars without traveling too far from home. It’s also an opportunity for American tennis players to show that they’re ready to compete with top-ranked international stars like Carlos Alacaraz and Iga Swiatek.
