Douglas County law enforcement issued a shelter-in-place order Friday afternoon in the Larkspur area of Fox Farm Road and Spruce Mountain Road as they search for a man who escaped police custody at a Greeley hospital.
Douglas County SWAT and sheriff’s deputies are searching for Luis Fernando Certa-Regaldo, who escaped custody Wednesday and is believed to be armed and dangerous, according to the sheriff’s office.

Certa-Regaldo is described as 27 years old and white with black hair, a short beard and brown eyes. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds, according to the Weld County Sheriff’s Office. He has a tattoo on his right arm.
He was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt with cutoff sleeves and a black baseball cap. Anyone who sees him should not approach and call 911, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Certa-Regaldo was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, obstruction and attempting to influence law enforcement, according to Weld County officials.
He was being medically cleared at the North Colorado Medical Center when he escaped custody and fled on foot at 7:30 p.m.
